In creating this type of environment, we have worked hard to combine the flexible, informal atmosphere of a small firm with the resources and client base of a larger firm.
Our workplace is one where office politics have been set aside in favor of an open, accessible structure. Here, attorneys are encouraged to specialize in areas of their own interest and the firm works to share acquired knowledge in areas of specialization and to seek resources and client bases to support each attorney’s interests. This elimination of boundaries has allowed us to evolve into a law firm that works as hard for its culture as it does for its clients.
The Firm’s primary source of hiring new associates is through on campus interviews at Baylor University School of Law. Baylor was selected as the focus of the Firm’s hiring efforts due to its unparalleled trial advocacy and practice court program, which provides graduates with competent courtroom abilities immediately upon graduation. Just as important as problem-solving skills and the ability to think on one’s feet is the work ethic Baylor instills. Graduates often take the Texas Bar Exam while completing the grueling practice court program and studying for their last quarter’s final exams.
